Primary – Maths project turns into a charity drive

Georgia Ross, a Grade 2 learner at Sandton Sinai Primary school, engaged her classmates for their assistance in her maths project.  Georgia’s project was about compound interest and the importance of saving.  Georgia gave each of her 11 classmates a saving jar, and for the whole month of August they were asked to bring R5 a day.  Georgia raised R 1 893.50 from her project and donated the proceeds to the building of the new Arcadia’s Children’s home.
