Primary – Strokes for Charity

Strokes for Charity

On Monday 15th February, the Grade ones, Grade twos and Grade threes went on a chesed outing to Yad AharonThe children were amazed to learn how many families Yad Aharon support. Our learners worked hard packing baby-marrows into bags, they felt a sense of satisfaction after filling seven trolleys which they were told would be distributed to families in need.

On Friday 19th February, Sandton Sinai with great excitement, held our first “Strokes for Charity” event. Our charity of choice for 2016 is Yad Aharon who will be receiving the proceeds. Our visit to Yad Aharon motivated all our children to give of their best in order to raise as much money as possible as they now had a clear understanding where their sponsorships were going.

There was an unbelievable atmosphere at school this morning as each and every child participated in our team event. The children learnt a wonderful lesson that together as a team they can achieve greatness each and every length counted. Each individual child felt proud of their contribution. Well Done to all our Shining Examples!

A big MAZELTOV to the Grade three girls for winning the trophy for the best spirit and a very special MAZELTOV to Amber Ross who swam an unbelievable 35 lengths!
